Driving the Byway

To Get to the Byway

• From Asheboro, travel southwest on N.C. 49.
• Continue for 15 miles and turn left onto Bombay School Road.
• Follow Bombay School Road until it ends at New Hope Road.
• Turn right onto New Hope Road
• Take a left onto High Pines Church Road (S.R. 1143)

Driving the Byway

• Take High Pines Church Road (S.R. 1143) until you reach the community of Lassiter Mill.
• Travel through the Uwharrie National Forest on S.R. 1143.
• The byway ends when S.R. 1143 intersects S.R. 1142.
• Turn left onto S.R. 1142.
• Turn left onto S.R. 1163 and continue until the road intersects N.C. 49.
