Getting to the Byway
From the south, take US 160 (that runs east to west across the Navajo Reservation). The byway begins in Kayenta at US 163 and heads north.
From the north, follow US 191 from Moab, Utah through Monticello and Blanding to Bluff. Then take US 163 to Monument Valley. The byway begins at the border of Utah and Arizona.
