Driving the Byway

The road itself:

The scenic route starts at Hon Dah and travels south on S.R. 73 through the Fort Apache Indian Reservation towards Whiteriver for 10.87 miles.

How to get to the road:

From Phoenix take Interstate 10 heading south then change off to U.S. 60 going east then S.R. 87 heading north. Then go east on S.R. 260 until you reach Showlow and keep traveling S.R. 260 until reaching Hon Dah and the scenic road S.R. 73.
