There are regular services available 10 miles to the south of the road in the town of Stowe. Some services are also available at the nearby Smuggler's Notch Resort.

	Fees There are no fees along the byway proper.		Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities Biking and hiking along this byway are not allowed due to the steep, winding road and narrow shoulders. However, biking and hiking are allowed along the designated areas off the road.

Special Considerations

The road is very steep and winding. It is not suited for large tour buses.

Restrictions

The road is impossible to plow in the winter months due to its sharp grade. The road is impassable to vehicles in winter.
