Special Considerations

Minnesota State Parks offer a wide variety of lodging and camping facilities that can be reserved in advance. Although 30% or more of the campsites in state parks are available on a first-come, first-served basis, they recommend that you reserve your campsite in advance to ensure that you have a site in the park of your choice. A non-refundable reservation fee of $7.00 is charged for each reservation. For more information call 1-800-246-CAMP. Reservations are especially recommended for weekends and holidays.

Minnesota State Parks has a specific set of rules to help keep the parks a state treasure. Click here for full, up-to-date list of rules.

Many modern facilities within the park, such as running water, showers, and flush toilets are only available during the summer season, which begins in early to mid May. There are no electric hookups at this park, but RV pads are available.
