Special Considerations
The visitor center is staffed from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend each year. Funds and weather permitting, staff are often at the center until mid October.
A parking lot is plowed during the winter so visitors can enjoy the outdoor exhibit area, hiking trails, and Lumberman's Monument year-round. Sidewalks are not cleared during the winter so visitors should be prepared to trek through the snow.
