Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway
Visitor Services
Gasoline is available at Cheyenne Crossing near the junction of US 14A and US 85. Full services of food, lodging and campgrounds, gift shops, and gasoline are available at the northern end of the route in the City of Spearfish.

Restrictions
There are no restrictions in use. The route is open year-round, and is designed for two lane traffic. The route is suitable for buses, motor coaches, motor homes, passenger cars, and other vehicles.
Seasons
- Best Time to Drive
In the fall the abundace of aspen/birch, oak and choke cherry trees provide for an explosion of color when contrasted with the dark colors of the spruce and pine highlighted by the impressive limestone cliffs.
- High Season
The busiest time of year is the summer and fall.
