  • Start: Zoar Village

    The community of Zoar was established in 1817 by a group of German immigrants who fled their native country seeking religious freedom. Walk though the village depicting 19th Century life.

  • Stop 1: Navarre

    Directions from previous place:

    Go north on Main St. until it turns into OH 212. Continue to follow OH 212 for 4.4 miles. Turn right onto Shepler Church Ave. and go for about 3 miles. Turn left onto Hudson Dr. and follow until it becomes Canal St. Turn right onto Market St. and then left onto Wooster St. NE. Follow this road until you reach Navarre.

    Navarre is a classic historic canal village. Visitors will find much to do and see at the village's many antique stores, shops, and restaurants.

  • Stop 2: St. Helena III Canal Boat

    Directions from previous place:

    Go east on Wooster St. and turn left when you come to Main St. The road will merge with OH 21. Continue to follow it for 12.4 miles. Merge onto OH 93 headed toward Canal Fulton. Turn right onto Manchester Ave. Take a slight right onto Cherry St. Turn left soon after onto Tuscarawas St. Follow this road until you reach the Community Park and the Canal.

    Take a journey back in time aboard the St. Helena III Canal Boat on an original section of the Ohio & Erie Canal. The boat glides along in the water while a team of horses pulls it on land.

  • Stop 3: Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens

    Directions from previous place:

    Go southwest on Cherry St. and follow for 1 mile and turn right onto OH 21. Follow this road for 17.4 miles. Turn right when you come to W. Market St. and go about 2 miles. Turn left onto N. Portage Path and follow it until you come to the Hall and Gardens.

    Built between 1911 and 1915 by Goodyear co-founder Frank Seiberling, Stan Jywet Hall is one of the finest examples of English Tudor Revival architecture in the United States. Visitors can tour the home as well as the surrounding gardens.

  • Stop 4: Hale Farm and Village

    Directions from previous place:

    Go north on N. Portage Path. Turn left when you get to Merriman Rd. This road will become Riverview Rd. Follow it for 3.5 miles and turn left onto Ira Rd. Turn right onto Oak Hill Rd. and follow the signs to the Farm.

    Hale Farm and Village lures the visitor with sights, sounds, and smells of a bustling Western Reserve township of 1848. Visit with artisans -- glass blowers, candlemakers, potters, and blacksmiths -- who demonstrate the industries of the mid-1800s.

  • Stop 5: Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

    Directions from previous place:

    Go north on Brecksville Rd. for 1 mile, then merge onto I 480 W for a 1.5 miles. Merge onto Jennings Fwy going toward Cleveland. Follow this road for 3.2 miles. Exit to Denison Ave and then turn left onto Pearl Rd. Take a slight right onto Wildlife Way and follow it until you get to the Zoo.

    Go east on Wildlife Way and turn left onto Pearl Rd. This road will become W. 25th Rd. Turn left when you get to Superior Ave. Turn left onto 6th St. Turn right onto St. Clair Ave. and then right onto Rock and Roll Blvd.
